The Lotus Effect™

Skin is where confidence often begins — and the effect of caring for it rarely stays on the surface.

Facial Aesthetics

The Art & Science of Facial Aesthetics

Skin changes with time, sun, and life — and it responds beautifully to thoughtful, medically guided care. At Lotus Glow, facial aesthetics is the practice of restoring what's been lost and refining what's already there, using treatments chosen for your skin, not applied by default.

Every service on this page is performed or directly supervised by our clinical team, grounded in an understanding of skin physiology, aging patterns, and how individual treatments work together over time. The goal is never a "done" look — it's skin that reads as rested, even, and simply yours.

If you're new to aesthetic treatments or simply unsure which approach fits your goals, a consultation is the natural starting point. We'll assess your skin in person and build a plan around it, not the other way around.

What Guides Our Approach

  • Every plan begins with an in-person skin assessment, not a menu selection.
  • Treatments are sequenced for how skin actually heals and responds over weeks, not just the day of.
  • Medical oversight on every service, from a first peel to advanced neuromodulator work.
  • Results are built to look like well-rested skin — refined, not altered.

What Brings You In

Common Skin Concerns We Treat

Most people arrive with more than one concern in mind. That's expected — and it's exactly why treatment plans are built individually rather than chosen from a single menu item.

Fine Lines Wrinkles Sun Damage Acne Acne Scarring Hyperpigmentation Rosacea Dry Skin Enlarged Pores Uneven Texture Dullness Volume Loss Uneven Skin Tone Loss of Elasticity

Each treatment below includes what it is, who it's suited for, what to expect from process through results, and how we approach it at Lotus Glow. Select any treatment to expand it.

Botox and Daxxify are injectable neuromodulators that soften the fine lines and wrinkles caused by repeated facial movement — think forehead lines, frown lines between the brows, and crow's feet. Both work by temporarily relaxing the targeted muscles; Daxxify is a newer formulation built to last longer between sessions.

Discomfort
Minimal
Results Show
3–7 days

Benefits

  • Softens expression lines without freezing natural movement
  • Can help prevent existing lines from deepening over time
  • Quick, in-and-out appointment with no recovery period

Ideal Candidate

Adults noticing lines that appear with expression (frowning, squinting, raising brows) and want a subtle, natural-looking softening rather than a frozen appearance.

Treatment Process

After a brief assessment of your facial movement patterns, a series of small injections are placed into targeted muscles using a fine needle. No numbing is typically required.

Recovery

None required. Mild redness or small bumps at injection sites resolve within an hour. Patients return to normal activity immediately, avoiding strenuous exercise for the rest of the day.

Expected Results

Botox typically lasts 3–4 months; Daxxify is formulated to last up to 6 months for many patients. Results build gradually and soften rather than switch on overnight.

Contraindications

Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for patients with certain neuromuscular conditions. A full health history is reviewed before treatment.

The Lotus Glow Approach

We inject conservatively and reassess — it's far easier to add more at a follow-up than to soften an overdone result. Our goal is expression that still moves naturally.

Curious if neuromodulators fit your goals? Request a Consultation

Dermal fillers use hyaluronic acid-based gels to restore lost volume, soften static lines, and refine contour in areas like the cheeks, lips, jawline, and under-eyes. Unlike neuromodulators, fillers add structure rather than relaxing muscle movement.

Downtime

Immediate

Benefits

  • Restores volume lost to natural aging
  • Refines and balances facial contour and proportion
  • Results visible immediately, with settling over two weeks

Ideal Candidate

Anyone noticing flattened cheeks, hollowing under the eyes, thinning lips, or a softened jawline, and who wants a natural restoration of structure rather than dramatic change.

Treatment Process

Topical numbing cream is applied, the treatment area is mapped, and filler is placed using a needle or micro-cannula depending on the area, with ice used to minimize swelling.

Recovery

Mild swelling and possible bruising for a few days is normal. Most patients return to work the same day; makeup can typically be applied the following day.

Expected Results

Results generally last 6–18 months depending on the product and treatment area, with the body gradually and naturally metabolizing the filler over time.

Contraindications

Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with active skin infection in the treatment area, or for patients with certain bleeding disorders or filler allergies.

The Lotus Glow Approach

We build volume in small, deliberate increments and view the face as a whole — restoring balance across cheeks, jaw, and lips together rather than treating one area in isolation.

Wondering where filler could help you most? Request a Consultation

Chemical peels use a controlled acid solution to remove damaged outer layers of skin, encouraging faster cell turnover and revealing smoother, more even skin underneath. Strength is adjusted from light, no-downtime peels to deeper resurfacing treatments.

Downtime
0–7 days
Time
30–40 min
Discomfort
Mild warmth
Results Show
5–10 days

Benefits

  • Improves tone, texture, and mild discoloration
  • Softens the look of acne scarring and sun damage
  • Can be layered into an ongoing skincare program

Ideal Candidate

Those dealing with dullness, uneven tone, sun damage, mild scarring, or early texture concerns, who want visible improvement without surgical or laser downtime.

Treatment Process

Skin is cleansed and prepped, the peel solution is applied in a controlled layer for a set period, then neutralized and followed with calming, barrier-supportive products.

Recovery

Light peels cause little to no visible peeling; medium peels may flake for 3–7 days. Sun protection is essential during healing regardless of depth.

Expected Results

Skin appears brighter and more even within a week or two. A series of peels, spaced several weeks apart, produces the most noticeable cumulative improvement.

Contraindications

Not recommended with active cold sores, recent isotretinoin use, active sunburn, or during pregnancy for certain peel formulations.

The Lotus Glow Approach

Peel strength is matched to your skin's tolerance and your calendar — we plan around events and season so downtime, if any, happens on your terms.

Not sure which peel strength is right? Request a Consultation

Microneedling uses fine, sterile needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, triggering the body's own collagen and elastin production. It's especially effective for texture, acne scarring, and overall skin firmness.

Downtime

Time
45–60 min
Discomfort
Mild, numbed
Results Show
3–4 weeks

Benefits

  • Improves acne scarring and enlarged pore appearance
  • Builds collagen for firmer, more resilient skin over time
  • Enhances absorption of serums applied immediately after

Ideal Candidate

Patients with acne scarring, textural irregularities, enlarged pores, or early fine lines who want a treatment that improves skin from within rather than resurfacing the surface alone.

Treatment Process

Numbing cream is applied for comfort, then a motorized microneedling device passes over the skin at a calibrated depth, often followed by a growth-factor or hyaluronic serum.

Recovery

Skin appears flushed, similar to a sunburn, for 24–48 hours, with mild pinpoint texture the first day. Gentle skincare and diligent sun protection are advised during healing.

Expected Results

Collagen remodeling continues for weeks after each session. A series of 3–4 treatments, spaced four to six weeks apart, is typical for meaningful scarring and texture improvement.

Contraindications

Not recommended with active acne breakouts, active skin infection, keloid scarring tendency, or during pregnancy.

The Lotus Glow Approach

We pair microneedling with medical-grade serums selected for your specific concern, so each session works double duty for both stimulation and active ingredient delivery.

Microdermabrasion is a mechanical exfoliation treatment that uses a fine abrasive tip and gentle suction to lift away dulled surface skin, immediately brightening tone and softening rough texture with zero downtime.

Downtime

Time
30 min
Discomfort
None
Results Show
Immediate

Benefits

  • Instantly brightens dull, congested-looking skin
  • Softens rough texture and minor surface irregularities
  • Comfortable, relaxing, and safe for regular maintenance

Ideal Candidate

Anyone wanting a low-commitment refresh — great as a standalone treatment before an event, or as ongoing monthly maintenance alongside deeper treatments.

Treatment Process

A handheld device gently exfoliates the skin's surface while simultaneous suction removes debris and dead skin cells, followed by a hydrating mask suited to your skin type.

Recovery

None. Skin may appear slightly pink for under an hour. Makeup can be applied immediately afterward.

Expected Results

Immediate brightness and smoothness that typically lasts several weeks; results build with regular monthly sessions.

Contraindications

Used cautiously over active inflammatory acne, rosacea flares, or recently sunburned skin.

The Lotus Glow Approach

We often recommend this as a maintenance treatment between more intensive services, keeping skin bright and product-responsive year-round.

Looking for a simple monthly refresh? Request a Consultation

Hydrodermabrasion combines exfoliation, extraction, and serum infusion in one water-based treatment. It's gentler than traditional microdermabrasion and adds a hydration step, making it well suited to sensitive or dehydrated skin.

Downtime
None
Time
45 min
Discomfort
None
Results Show
Immediate

Benefits

  • Gently exfoliates while simultaneously infusing hydration
  • Clears congestion and refines the look of pores
  • Comfortable enough for sensitive and reactive skin

Ideal Candidate

Those with dehydrated, congested, or sensitive skin who want visible clarity and glow without the friction of traditional crystal-based exfoliation.

Treatment Process

A specialized wand cleanses, exfoliates, and extracts congestion using a vortex of water and gentle suction, followed by infusion of a hydrating, antioxidant-rich serum.

Recovery

None. Skin appears immediately plump and refreshed with no redness or sensitivity in most patients.

Expected Results

Visible glow and smoother texture right away, with cumulative clarity benefits from monthly sessions.

Contraindications

Generally well tolerated; used cautiously with active infection or open lesions in the treatment area.

The Lotus Glow Approach

We customize the infused serum to your skin's needs that day — calming for reactive skin, brightening for dullness, hydrating for dry or over-treated skin.

Curious if this fits your sensitive skin? Request a Consultation

Dermaplaning uses a sterile surgical blade to gently glide across the skin, removing dead surface cells and fine vellus hair ("peach fuzz") in one motion. Skin appears instantly smoother, and makeup applies more evenly afterward.

Downtime
None
Time
30 min
Discomfort
None
Results Show
Immediate

Benefits

  • Instantly smooths texture and removes fine facial hair
  • Allows skincare and makeup to apply more evenly
  • Safe during pregnancy, unlike many chemical treatments

Ideal Candidate

Anyone wanting immediate smoothness before an event, or those who prefer a physical exfoliation method over acids or devices — including pregnant patients.

Treatment Process

Using a sterile blade held at a precise angle, the provider glides across clean, dry skin in short strokes, lifting dead skin and fine hair from the surface.

Recovery

None. Skin may appear slightly pink for a short time. Sun protection is recommended, as skin is more sun-sensitive immediately after.

Expected Results

Smoother texture and brighter tone lasting roughly 3–4 weeks, aligned with the skin's natural cell turnover cycle.

Contraindications

Avoided over active acne breakouts, cystic acne, or open lesions, as gliding a blade over inflamed skin can worsen irritation.

The Lotus Glow Approach

Often paired with a hydrating mask immediately after, since freshly dermaplaned skin absorbs serums and moisture noticeably better.

Want that pre-event glow done right? Request a Consultation

Our customized facials are built session-by-session around your skin's current state — not a fixed protocol. Cleansing, exfoliation, extractions, masking, and targeted serums are selected to address what your skin needs that day.

Discomfort
None
Results Show
Immediate

Benefits

  • Addresses multiple concerns in a single relaxing session
  • Adapts each visit to seasonal or hormonal skin changes
  • Builds a foundation that supports more advanced treatments

Ideal Candidate

Anyone wanting ongoing, low-intervention skin maintenance, or those easing into aesthetic treatments before considering more advanced procedures.

Treatment Process

Beginning with a skin check-in, your provider selects a cleanser, exfoliation method, extraction as needed, mask, and serum stack specific to that day's skin condition.

Recovery

None. Skin may appear slightly flushed immediately after extractions, resolving within a few hours.

Expected Results

Immediate hydration, clarity, and calm; monthly visits support long-term skin health and help catch emerging concerns early.

Contraindications

Modified for active cystic acne, rosacea flares, or recent aesthetic procedures in the same area.

The Lotus Glow Approach

We treat the facial as an ongoing conversation with your skin — each session informs the next, and notes are kept so your plan evolves with you.

New to facials or ready for a reset? Request a Consultation

In-office treatments work best alongside the right daily regimen. Our medical-grade skincare consultations pair clinically studied, higher-concentration formulations with your treatment plan to extend and protect your results at home.

Downtime
None
Time
20–30 min
Discomfort
None
Results Show
4–8 weeks

Benefits

  • Extends and protects results from in-office treatments
  • Higher active concentrations than over-the-counter products
  • Builds a routine specific to your skin, not a generic set

Ideal Candidate

Anyone investing in professional treatments who wants their results to last longer, or those looking to address concerns like fine lines, pigmentation, or breakouts daily at home.

Treatment Process

A provider reviews your skin type, current products, and goals, then builds a simplified morning and evening regimen from clinical-strength cleansers, actives, and SPF.

Recovery

Not applicable — this is a consultation and product program rather than a procedure. Some active ingredients may require a short adjustment period as skin acclimates.

Expected Results

Most patients notice improved tone and texture within 4–8 weeks of consistent use, with continued improvement over several months.

Contraindications

Certain active ingredients are adjusted or paused during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or around other in-office procedures.

The Lotus Glow Approach

We keep home regimens simple and sustainable — a few well-chosen products used consistently outperform a crowded shelf used inconsistently.

Not Sure Where to Start?

Let Your Skin Lead the Plan

With this many effective treatments available, the harder part is often knowing which one — or which combination — is right for you. That decision shouldn't be guesswork, and it isn't one we ask you to make alone.

Every new patient begins with a comprehensive skin assessment, reviewed under medical oversight. From there, we build a treatment plan sequenced around how your skin actually responds, adjusting as you go rather than locking you into a fixed package.

Start With an Assessment

Comprehensive Skin Assessment

A close, in-person evaluation of your skin's condition, concerns, and history — the foundation every recommendation is built on.

Customized Treatment Planning

Your goals, timeline, and skin's response are mapped into a sequenced plan — not a single service, but a path forward.

Professional Recommendations

Clear guidance on what to prioritize first, what can wait, and why — so every decision is informed, never rushed.

Ongoing Medical Oversight

Every treatment, from the simplest facial to advanced injectables, is performed or supervised by our clinical team.

Each technology below plays a distinct role in a transformation plan. Select any treatment to expand it and see how it works.

What it is: EMS uses high-intensity electromagnetic pulses to trigger thousands of involuntary muscle contractions in a single session — far more than a workout can produce voluntarily — building strength and tone in the treated muscle group.

Downtime
None
Time
30 min
Comfort
Intense, tolerable
Results Show
2–4 weeks

Benefits

  • Builds visible muscle tone and definition
  • Strengthens core and postural muscles
  • No exercise or recovery time required

Ideal Candidate

Those close to their goal weight looking to build definition in the abdomen, glutes, or arms, or anyone wanting to strengthen muscle without additional gym time.

Treatment Experience

An applicator is secured over the target muscle group; intensity builds gradually as the muscle contracts rhythmically. Most describe it as an intense workout sensation while lying down.

Recovery

None needed. Mild muscle soreness, similar to a strenuous workout, may be felt for a day or two.

Expected Results

Increased muscle tone and firmness typically become visible within 2–4 weeks, continuing to build across a full series of sessions.

Contraindications

Not recommended during pregnancy, or for patients with pacemakers, metal implants near the treatment area, or certain neuromuscular conditions.

The Lotus Glow Approach

EMS is often placed at the strength-building phase of a plan, following contouring treatments so newly revealed muscle has definition to show.

Curious how EMS fits into your plan? Request a Consultation

What it is: Radiofrequency energy gently heats the deeper layers of skin, stimulating collagen and elastin production to firm and tighten skin that has loosened from weight change, pregnancy, or age.

Comfort
Warm, relaxing
Results Show
4–8 weeks

Benefits

  • Firms and tightens loose or lax skin
  • Softens the look of mild cellulite
  • Comfortable with no needles or incisions

Ideal Candidate

Patients with mild to moderate skin laxity — often after weight loss or pregnancy — who want firmer skin without surgery.

Treatment Experience

A handheld applicator glides across the treatment area delivering controlled heat, monitored throughout for comfort and consistent temperature.

Recovery

None. Skin may appear mildly flushed for a short time after treatment; normal activity resumes immediately.

Expected Results

Collagen remodeling continues for weeks after each session, with visible firming typically emerging over 4–8 weeks and improving with a full series.

Contraindications

Not recommended during pregnancy, over active skin infections, or for patients with certain implanted electronic devices.

The Lotus Glow Approach

We frequently pair radiofrequency with fat-reducing treatments, since firming the skin as volume decreases is what keeps results looking smooth rather than loose.

Dealing with loose or lax skin? Request a Consultation

What it is: Ultrasonic cavitation uses low-frequency sound waves to disrupt stubborn fat cells beneath the skin. The disrupted fat is gradually processed and eliminated through the body's natural lymphatic pathways.

Downtime

30–45 min
Comfort
Mild vibration
Results Show
3–6 weeks

Benefits

  • Targets stubborn fat resistant to diet and exercise
  • Non-invasive with no needles or incisions
  • Comfortable enough to read or relax through

Ideal Candidate

Individuals near their goal weight with localized fat pockets — commonly the abdomen, flanks, or thighs — seeking contour refinement rather than significant weight loss.

Treatment Experience

A smooth ultrasound applicator is moved over the treatment area in slow, methodical passes. Most patients feel only a warm, vibrating sensation.

Recovery

None. Staying well hydrated afterward supports the body's natural process of clearing disrupted fat cells.

Expected Results

Gradual inch loss becomes noticeable over 3–6 weeks per session, with cumulative results building across a recommended series.

Contraindications

Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for patients with certain kidney, liver, or cardiovascular conditions.

The Lotus Glow Approach

Cavitation is typically an early step in a layered plan — reducing fat volume before radiofrequency and EMS refine the tone and firmness of the area.

Have stubborn areas diet and exercise haven't touched? Request a Consultation

Benefits

  • Precisely targets small, stubborn areas
  • Zero downtime, painless application
  • Pairs well with other contouring technologies

Ideal Candidate

Those with smaller, well-defined areas of stubborn fat — such as the bra line, inner thighs, or upper arms — seeking a gentle, gradual approach.

Treatment Experience

Laser paddles are positioned over the treatment area and emit a comfortable, low-level light for the duration of the session; most patients relax or nap through it.

Recovery

None. Patients resume all normal activities immediately following treatment.

Expected Results

Subtle, gradual contour improvement over 3–6 weeks, with best results from a recommended series of sessions.

Contraindications

Not recommended during pregnancy or for patients with certain photosensitivity conditions or light-sensitive medications.

The Lotus Glow Approach

We often open a treatment plan with laser lipolysis on smaller, stubborn areas before layering in cavitation and radiofrequency for broader contouring.

Have a small area you'd like refined? Request a Consultation

Cumulative

Benefits

  • Supports circulation and lymphatic flow
  • Eases post-treatment soreness or inflammation
  • Can enhance skin tone and radiance over time

Ideal Candidate

Anyone completing a body contouring series who wants to support recovery and results, or those seeking a gentle, standalone circulation-boosting treatment.

Treatment Experience

Patients relax under or beside a red light panel for the treatment duration. There is no heat, pain, or sensation beyond gentle warmth.

Recovery

None. This is one of the most restful treatments offered, with no restrictions afterward.

Expected Results

Benefits build cumulatively with regular sessions, often noticed as improved comfort after other treatments and gradual skin tone improvement.

Contraindications

Generally well tolerated; used cautiously with certain photosensitive medications or active skin conditions in the treatment area.

The Lotus Glow Approach

We layer red light onto the close of most contouring sessions — it's the quiet finishing step that supports everything done before it.

The Signature Method

The Lotus Effect™

The most meaningful transformations rarely come from a single device. They come from combining technologies in the right order — each one preparing the body for the next.

1

Laser Lipolysis

Begins softening targeted fat in precise areas.

2

Cavitation

Reduces broader fat volume for visible contour change.

3

Radiofrequency

Tightens and firms the skin as volume decreases.

4

EMS

Builds visible muscle tone beneath the refined area.

5

Red Light Therapy

Supports recovery and circulation to close each visit.

This sequence is an illustrative example only. Every Lotus Effect™ plan is built individually after your consultation — the treatments used, their order, and how often you return are determined by your goals, your body's response, and your provider's clinical assessment. Some plans use three technologies; others use all five in a different order entirely.

Body contouring is designed to reshape and refine specific areas, not to produce significant weight loss. It works best for patients who are already close to their goal weight and want to address stubborn pockets of fat or loose skin that haven't responded to diet and exercise.
Most treatments are recommended as a series of 6 to 10 sessions, spaced one to two weeks apart, to allow the body time to process results between visits. Your provider will recommend an exact number based on your goals and how your body responds.
Yes. EMS triggers involuntary muscle contractions at an intensity and volume beyond what voluntary exercise can achieve, which builds genuine muscle tone and definition over a series of sessions.
No. Radiofrequency delivers a controlled, comfortable warmth as the applicator moves across the skin. Most patients find it relaxing, and temperature is monitored throughout for comfort.
None of our body contouring treatments require downtime. You can return to normal activities, including exercise, immediately after most sessions.
Yes, and combining technologies is where most patients see their best results. Your provider will recommend a sequence that fits your specific goals, as outlined in The Lotus Effect™ above.

Integrative Health

Care that sees the whole you.

Preventative and integrative care that looks at the whole picture — labs, lifestyle, symptoms, and goals — rather than treating one number in isolation.

Book Integrative HealthWhat This Includes

The Lotus Effect™

Health compounds quietly. What you address now ripples outward into the years you have not lived yet.

Our Approach

Our Approach to Wellness

True wellness begins with understanding the whole person. Every consultation starts by listening to your story, evaluating your health concerns, and developing a personalized care plan. Recommendations may include nutrition guidance, medical weight management, lifestyle coaching, advanced diagnostic testing, therapeutic supplementation, restorative therapies, or preventive care strategies. Every recommendation is individualized and clinically guided.

Personalized Care

Every plan is built around your history, goals, and how your body responds — never a fixed protocol.

Evidence-Informed Recommendations

Guidance grounded in clinical research, not trends, and reviewed continually as understanding evolves.

Preventive Focus

We look for opportunities to intervene early, before small imbalances become larger health concerns.

Long-Term Partnership

Care continues beyond a single visit, with ongoing follow-up as your health and goals evolve.

GLP-1 medical weight management uses physician-prescribed GLP-1 receptor agonist medication, combined with clinical monitoring and lifestyle support, to help patients lose weight in a structured, medically supervised way.

Format
Weekly injection
Visit Time
30–40 min
Monitoring
Ongoing
Results Show
Weeks–months

Benefits

  • Supports significant, sustained weight loss for appropriate candidates
  • Reduces appetite and supports healthier eating patterns
  • Includes regular clinical check-ins to monitor progress and safety

Ideal Candidate

Adults with a clinical indication for weight management who have been evaluated and cleared through a comprehensive medical intake and lab review.

Treatment Process

After an initial evaluation and lab work, a provider determines candidacy and starting dose. Medication is self-administered on a weekly schedule with dose adjustments guided by your provider.

Recovery

Not applicable. Some patients experience mild gastrointestinal side effects when starting or increasing dose, which are monitored and managed by your care team.

Expected Results

Weight loss typically progresses gradually over weeks and months, with the most successful outcomes paired with nutrition and lifestyle coaching.

Contraindications

Not appropriate for patients with certain personal or family endocrine history, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with specific gastrointestinal conditions. Full history is reviewed before starting.

The Lotus Glow Approach

Medication is never treated as the whole plan — we pair it with nutrition counseling and lifestyle coaching so progress is sustainable well beyond active treatment.

Wondering if you're a candidate? Request a Consultation

Our broader medical weight management program combines clinical evaluation, body composition tracking, and individualized strategy — with or without medication — for patients seeking a physician-guided approach to sustainable weight change.

Format

Monitoring
Ongoing
Results Show
Weeks–months

Benefits

  • Tracks progress with objective data, not just the scale
  • Adapts strategy as your body and goals change
  • Coordinates medication, nutrition, and coaching under one plan

Ideal Candidate

Anyone wanting structured, physician-guided support for weight management, whether or not medication is clinically appropriate for their situation.

Treatment Process

An initial evaluation covers health history, labs, and body composition. Your provider builds a plan and reviews progress at regular follow-up visits, adjusting as needed.

Recovery

Not applicable — this is an ongoing clinical program rather than a single procedure.

Expected Results

Results vary by individual and approach; steady, gradual progress supported by regular monitoring tends to be the most sustainable.

Contraindications

Certain strategies within the program may not be appropriate for specific medical conditions — reviewed individually during intake.

The Lotus Glow Approach

We measure success by more than the number on the scale — energy, lab markers, and how you feel day to day all factor into how we adjust your plan.

Ready for a structured, physician-guided plan? Request a Consultation

Nutrition counseling provides individualized dietary guidance based on your health history, goals, and lab work — building an eating pattern you can realistically sustain, not a restrictive short-term diet.

Format
1:1 sessions
Visit Time
45 min
Frequency
Ongoing
Results Show
Weeks

Benefits

  • Builds an eating pattern specific to your goals and lifestyle
  • Addresses nutritional gaps identified through lab work
  • Supports other treatments, from weight management to skin health

Ideal Candidate

Anyone wanting individualized dietary guidance — whether managing a specific health condition, supporting another treatment plan, or simply building healthier habits.

Treatment Process

Sessions begin with a review of current eating patterns, relevant labs, and goals, followed by practical, individualized guidance you can implement immediately.

Recovery

Not applicable.

Expected Results

Most patients notice improved energy and consistency within a few weeks of applying guidance, with deeper changes building over ongoing sessions.

Contraindications

Recommendations are adjusted for patients with specific medical conditions, allergies, or eating pattern concerns disclosed during intake.

The Lotus Glow Approach

We build plans around foods you'll actually eat, adjusting gradually rather than overhauling your diet overnight.

Want guidance that actually fits your life? Request a Consultation

Lifestyle coaching supports the daily habits that underpin every other treatment — sleep, movement, stress management, and consistency — through regular, accountable check-ins with your care team.

Format

Weeks

Benefits

  • Builds sustainable habits around sleep, movement, and stress
  • Provides accountability between clinical visits
  • Reinforces progress made in other treatment areas

Ideal Candidate

Patients who understand what changes would help but need structured support and accountability to make them stick.

Treatment Process

Coaching sessions identify one or two focus areas at a time, set realistic goals, and review progress at each check-in, adjusting the approach as needed.

Recovery

Not applicable.

Expected Results

Small, consistent changes typically become noticeable habits within several weeks, building toward larger shifts over months.

Contraindications

None specific; coaching is adapted to individual circumstances and any relevant health conditions.

The Lotus Glow Approach

We focus on one or two changes at a time — sustainable habits are built gradually, not all at once.

Need support making changes stick? Request a Consultation

Treatment Process

Expected Results

You leave with a clear, personalized care plan and a defined next step — not a generic list of services.

Benefits

  • Addresses concerns often left untreated due to discomfort discussing them
  • Identifies underlying hormonal or metabolic contributors
  • Provides a discreet, judgment-free clinical environment

Ideal Candidate

Men experiencing changes in sexual function, energy, or performance who want a clinical evaluation rather than guesswork.

Treatment Process

A confidential consultation reviews symptoms and history, often paired with lab testing to identify contributing factors before recommending treatment.

Recovery

Depends on the specific treatment recommended; your provider will review this individually.

Expected Results

Timelines vary based on the underlying cause and treatment approach selected; your provider will set expectations during your visit.

Contraindications

Certain treatments may not be appropriate depending on cardiovascular history or other conditions — reviewed individually before any prescription.

The Lotus Glow Approach

Recommendations may include lifestyle optimization, prescription medication when clinically appropriate, injectable therapies when indicated, and ongoing clinical follow-up — always individualized.

Benefits

  • Identifies contributing factors before recommending treatment
  • May combine multiple approaches for a more complete strategy
  • Supports healthier hair growth through evidence-informed care

Ideal Candidate

Men and women noticing thinning, shedding, or changes in hair density who want a clinical, individualized evaluation.

Treatment Process

A scalp and hair evaluation, alongside relevant health history and labs when appropriate, informs a personalized plan that may incorporate multiple approaches based on your needs.

Recovery

Depends on the specific therapies included in your plan; your provider will walk you through what to expect.

Expected Results

Hair growth cycles are slow — most patients are advised to expect gradual change over several months rather than an immediate result.

Contraindications

Certain treatments are not appropriate during pregnancy or with specific scalp or health conditions, reviewed individually.

The Lotus Glow Approach

We focus on supporting healthier growth through evidence-informed care rather than promising specific outcomes — every scalp and every cause is different.

Care that sees the whole you.

I created Lotus Glow Integrative Health to offer more than treatments — I created it to offer transformation.

Here, you're not just a client. You're a whole person with unique goals, and you deserve care that honors that.

My approach blends medical expertise with genuine compassion — helping you look good, feel good, and live well from the inside out.

The Philosophy

Whole-person care, rooted in science

Aesthetics, wellness, and medicine are not separate pursuits. They're part of the same story — the one where someone decides to invest in themselves and wants a provider who takes that seriously.

That means longer consultations, honest assessments, and plans built for the person in front of us. It also means saying no when a treatment isn't right, which is not something every practice is willing to do.

Evidence vs. Wellness Trends: How to Know What Actually Works

Health information moves quickly online. A supplement, device, detox, or “health hack” can become popular long before high-quality clinical evidence establishes whether it works or is safe. Clinically guided care asks a more useful question: what outcome are we trying to change, and how strong is the evidence?

Popularity Is Not Proof

Testimonials and social-media popularity can identify questions worth investigating, but they cannot establish effectiveness. Mechanistic explanations and small preliminary studies may generate hypotheses without proving meaningful clinical benefit.

Define the Outcome

Claims such as “detox,” “balances hormones,” or “boosts metabolism” can be too broad to evaluate. A stronger approach defines a measurable outcome and asks whether the intervention has demonstrated a meaningful benefit.

Weigh Benefit and Harm

Evidence-informed decisions consider potential benefit, adverse effects, contraindications, interactions, cost, and the possibility of delaying effective care.

A Better Way to Navigate Wellness

You can be curious without being careless: identify the claim, review the evidence, consider safety, and decide whether the intervention belongs in the individual’s plan.

Clinical Takeaway

At Lotus Glow, “clinically guided” means we do not confuse a compelling claim with a proven clinical benefit.

Aesthetic & Skin Rejuvenation

Healthy Skin Starts Before the Treatment Room

Procedures can be useful tools for selected aesthetic concerns, but long-term skin health begins with daily care. Skin-barrier support, appropriate skincare, and photoprotection form the foundation on which aesthetic treatments can build.

Protect the Skin Barrier

The skin barrier helps limit water loss and protects against environmental exposures. Excessive cleansing, over-exfoliation, and poorly tolerated products can impair barrier function and increase irritation.

Sun Protection Is Foundational

Ultraviolet radiation is a major contributor to photoaging and skin-cancer risk. Daily broad-spectrum photoprotection, shade, protective clothing, and appropriate sunscreen use are central to preventive skin care.

Choose Treatment Based on the Concern

Acne, pigmentation, texture, fine lines, redness, and laxity do not have identical causes or treatments. Assessment helps determine whether skincare, a procedure, medical treatment, or referral is appropriate.

Know When to Refer

A changing or suspicious lesion, persistent unexplained rash, severe acne, or another concerning skin finding may require dermatologic evaluation.

Clinical Takeaway

The strongest aesthetic plan usually combines healthy skin habits with treatments selected for the actual clinical concern.

Aesthetic & Skin Rejuvenation

Why “More” Isn’t Always Better in Aesthetic Medicine

Aesthetic medicine is most effective when treatment is matched to anatomy, goals, and risk. More product or more procedures do not automatically produce a better outcome. Conservative, staged treatment can help preserve facial balance while allowing results to be evaluated.

Start With the Goal

A good consultation begins with the desired outcome. Sometimes a procedure is appropriate; sometimes skincare, time, lifestyle changes, or no treatment is the better choice.

Respect Anatomy

Injectable treatments require detailed knowledge of anatomy, product characteristics, indications, contraindications, and technique.

Staged Treatment Can Be Valuable

A staged approach allows the clinician and patient to assess the result before adding treatment, reducing the risk of overcorrection.

Safety Comes First

Responsible practice includes screening, informed consent, appropriate products and technique, education, follow-up, and a plan for recognizing complications or arranging referral.

Natural Results Are a Valid Goal

Natural does not have to mean untreated. It can mean that treatment is proportionate, individualized, and aligned with the patient’s anatomy and goals.

Clinical Takeaway

In aesthetic medicine, restraint is not doing less — it is using clinical judgment to do what is appropriate.

Weight Management & Body Composition

How to Protect Muscle While Losing Weight

A successful weight-management plan should consider more than the number on the scale. During weight loss, changes in lean tissue can occur along with reductions in fat mass. Preserving muscle supports strength, function, and body composition.

Why Lean Mass Matters

Skeletal muscle supports strength, mobility, physical function, and metabolic health. Some loss of lean tissue can occur during energy restriction, particularly when weight loss is rapid or resistance exercise and adequate nutrition are lacking.

Protein Needs Are Individual

Protein requirements vary with body size, age, activity, health status, kidney function, dietary pattern, and treatment goals. Intake should be individualized rather than based on one universal target.

Resistance Training Is a Key Tool

Resistance exercise provides a stimulus for maintaining or increasing muscle. Systematic reviews support resistance training as an important part of weight-loss programs when lean-mass preservation is a goal.

Recovery Counts

Sleep, hydration, energy availability, and recovery affect training quality. More exercise is not automatically better; the program should be progressive and appropriate.

Look Beyond the Scale

Strength, waist measurements, body composition, physical function, energy, and clothing fit can add useful information about progress.

Clinical Takeaway

The goal of weight loss should be healthier body composition and function — not simply the fastest possible drop in body weight.

Stress & Sleep

The Stress–Sleep–Metabolism Connection

Stress and sleep are clinically relevant to appetite, energy regulation, recovery, mood, and cardiometabolic health. A clinically guided plan considers these factors without assuming that every symptom is caused by stress or poor sleep.

Stress Is a Physiologic Response

Acute stress is a normal adaptive response. Persistent stress, however, can be associated with changes in sleep, appetite, food intake, activity, and perceived well-being.

Sleep Influences Metabolic Health

Sleep restriction and sleep disruption have been associated with changes in hunger and satiety, insulin sensitivity, dietary choices, and body weight. These relationships vary between individuals.

Practical Sleep Foundations

Consistent sleep and wake times, a supportive sleep environment, regular daytime activity, and a wind-down routine can support healthy sleep habits.

When Evaluation Is Needed

Persistent insomnia, excessive daytime sleepiness, loud snoring, witnessed breathing pauses, or other concerning symptoms may warrant clinical evaluation.

Clinical Takeaway

Sleep and stress are not afterthoughts. They are clinically relevant parts of a sustainable health plan.

Supplements: When Do You Actually Need Them?

Supplements can be appropriate when there is a documented deficiency, a recognized clinical indication, inadequate intake, or another evidence-supported reason. A supplement is not automatically beneficial simply because it is natural, popular, or marketed for wellness.

Food First When Appropriate

A varied, nutrient-dense diet can provide many essential nutrients. Supplements may be useful when food intake is insufficient or when a specific clinical need exists.

Consider the Individual

Medical conditions, medications, pregnancy status, age, diet, laboratory findings, and treatment goals can change whether a supplement is appropriate.

Natural Can Still Cause Harm

Supplements can produce adverse effects and interact with medications. Some products have been associated with clinically significant toxicity, and quality can vary.

Testing Should Answer a Clinical Question

Testing is most useful when the result will change management. Testing without a clear clinical question can produce false positives, incidental findings, and unnecessary expense.

Review and Reassess

When a supplement is recommended, there should be a reason for use and, when appropriate, a plan for dose, duration, monitoring, and reassessment.

Clinical Takeaway

The goal is not to take the most supplements. It is to use the right intervention for the right person for the right reason.

Weight Management

Why Weight Management Is More Than Calories In, Calories Out

Energy balance is fundamental to changes in body weight, but weight regulation is biologically and behaviorally complex. Genetics, appetite regulation, sleep, stress, medications, physical activity, food environment, and other factors can influence weight and the ability to maintain weight loss.

The Biology of Weight Regulation

Body weight is regulated through interacting biological and behavioral systems. Changes in appetite, energy expenditure, and adaptive responses can make long-term weight management more difficult than simply deciding to eat less.

Nutrition Matters

A sustainable nutrition strategy can consider dietary pattern, food quality, protein and fiber intake, hydration, preferences, access, and medical needs. Extreme restriction is not required for every patient.

Movement Matters

Physical activity supports cardiovascular health, physical function, mood, and metabolic health. A complete plan may include aerobic activity and resistance training, adjusted to the individual’s fitness and medical status.

Sleep and Stress Belong in the Conversation

Sleep disruption and chronic stress can affect appetite, food choices, recovery, and activity. They may not be the sole cause of weight gain, but they can influence a person’s ability to sustain a plan.

Medication May Be One Tool

For appropriate patients, anti-obesity pharmacotherapy can be part of comprehensive treatment. Medication selection should be individualized and monitored.

Clinical Takeaway

Weight management is best approached as a long-term clinical process rather than a test of willpower.

What Does “Integrative Health” Actually Mean?

Integrative health is a whole-person approach to care that considers the person, the clinical concern, the evidence, and the context in which health occurs. It does not mean replacing conventional medicine with unproven therapies. Instead, it emphasizes patient–clinician partnership and the thoughtful use of appropriate, evidence-informed approaches.

Looking Beyond the Symptom

Nutrition, sleep, physical activity, stress, medications, environment, and other health factors may be relevant depending on the clinical question. A whole-person assessment helps identify what actually matters rather than assuming every concern has one simple cause.

Evidence Still Matters

“Integrative” should never be a substitute for scientific rigor. Responsible integrative care considers conventional treatment and complementary or lifestyle approaches according to evidence, safety, patient preferences, and clinical appropriateness.

Personalized Care Is the Point

Two people can have the same goal and need different plans. Individualization may involve medical history, medications and supplements, laboratory findings when indicated, lifestyle, goals, and risk factors.

The Lotus Glow Approach

We start with what is clinically relevant, identify evidence-supported options, and create a practical plan. Referral or coordination with another clinician is part of responsible whole-person care when a concern requires specialty evaluation.

Clinical Takeaway

Integrative health is not “everything natural.” It is patient-centered care that considers the whole person while remaining grounded in evidence and safety.
